That's a loaded question. As far as expanding the Aladdin characters, watching the series inspires me. The way it inspires me is that I get to thinking how each episode might have effected the characters involved.

Whenever I'm trying to come up with new ideas or write a new chapter,i put the original movie on.I don't know why,but seeing the character's faces and re-visiting their world and their personalities always gets the juices flowing.

no i don't. most of my junk is somewhere in my room writtn down. i tried to write a fanfic with mozy, b/c i was really bored, so i just arbitrarily wrote stuff down. i plan on putting stuff on fanfiction.com from the best work i've ever writen ever! most of the stuff i write are like sayings and short ideas i have. i recently had an i dea of what if jafar was the sultan and jas's dad was the royal vizier? hmmm. i also had a dream tht i met iago. he was really cute and he made me feel better b/c i was crying. he cracked a few jokes. i haven't written any storied down about this, but if u want to use the idea, please give me recognition for the idea. thank you. laterz!

That sounds all to familiar... do you have any of your work posted on the internet anywhere?

For my

I thought it would be fun to see Aladdin and Jasmine put into different stories. Dunno where it came from. Maybe
Hercules and the Arabian Night
inspired it?
FOr
No Longer Thirsty
, it came from non-ALaddin thoughts I had had one day. I then decided to put in the Sultan and Jasmine's mother (partly because I like wondering what happened to her).
For
The Switch
.. I have no idea!
AL's New Year COuntdown
came from poems I've read. It was also New Year's Eve night, and I wanted to have the first fanfic of the year!
For
Inside
I started feeling like Jasmine and decided to write it down from her perspective,
I don't have pictures to look at or anything, but I do use the "would i hear this character saying this" test.
Whatever Meesh does, it works... trust me.

Nez, where do you get those awesome avatars. Yours is so cute ( the one with Jasmine).
I made them.
Yes, I've joined the ranks of Marisa and other GIF avatar animators! I did the "Twisted Love" first and then, after a strange discussion at the other threads, I did the Mozey/Dhandi conversation. The Jasmine one was inspired by a song, "And This is My Beloved", from the musical "Kismet".

For my first fanfic, I just thought "What would it be like if Iago suddenly showed up in my room? What would I do and say, and what would he be like?" And then I just wrote it down.
The idea for "The Search For Cassim" suddenly popped up in my mind. One day, I heard Iago say "I don't like it in here, Cassim" and saw this image of a shabby, dark tavern in my mind, and it wouldn't leave me!
After a while, I wrote it down and so started writing the story and developing it. So you could say I had a voice in my head telling me to do it.
For inspiration for certain scenes in my stories, I sometimes look at other fanfiction to get a feeling for the atmosphere, or I look at the series and movies...
