It depends on your motive as a critic and the constructive criticism that you implore out. To make writers think more about what they're doing and thereby improve. Sometimes constructive criticism can be discouraging. That's why I so feel embarassed posting any of the pictures or stories here. I'm afraid that someone is going to run me out and make writing not so fun for me anymore. Concrit is always discouraging at first. If you're not thick-skinned enough to take it, then you shouldn't be posting your work anywhere that is open forum. That's an important thing to learn about publishing in the real world; not everyone is going to like it and first drafts are never going to be like the final product. Does it have to be 100 % accurate based on history? Disney didn't really do their research on the historical events and timing in the original movie in Aladdin. That's why there's alot of confusion on what time period it actually is and when where what happened that goes in between. Aladdin is never set in a historical place because Disney didn't want to get razzed for messing with events in history. That's why they purposefully leave stuff like that out. So, why does mine have to be based upon accuracy? Because there will always be that one critic who wants to see if you, as a passionate writer, will go the extra distance and do the research to make your story that much more vivid and in-depth. It makes you look better and makes them go "ooh" with the work you put in. This story, "Come What May" was one of my first fics. Did you actually took the time to read my story ? Truthfully? No. I've been asking questions here, and your inability to take concrit and just discuss plotting, even stuff you haven't even done, tells me that your work might not be the seasoned type I'm usually up to reading.
Thank you. Please take the time to read them . I really do need the improvement to write. You're right, I need to be thick skinned on publishing things out. Fear gets the best out of everybody. Here in the Library of Agrabah, i'm testing my waters. You got me thinking on where should I look at and to be careful. what do you mean by seasonal ? I do take constructive criticism. It's just you're asking me to change a city that ties with one of the events in the story. If i change it then I have to change everything else. I don't know what seasonal stuff are you talking about. i write here in the Library of Agrabah and only here. Writing things about Aladdin is what I love to do. Writing is what I want to learn and develop on. So thank you for pointing things out for me. I take it into consideration and research more. For your part, i think you should look at the whole picture before you can add your critique. You can't go say something without seeing the whole picture. It's like taking a gum wrapper and assuming it belongs to a chocolate bar. that was my mistake for putting Rajan ancestry and saying that his city is on a rich port side that was from Egypt. That put the whole debate in the first place.Honestly my story, which you haven't read . never said, where the city is located or where rajan came from.
Well you can't critique something if you don't know the whole story. Right?

Now they're too big. A width of 500 would've sufficed. Oh, well.
I say... he looks a tad crosseyed in that black-and-white picture. Heh... silly boy must have a real thing against artists and photographers, eh?
Only quibble I have is that the characters in your story seem a little out of character. Oh, well. Rajan's pretty nice-lookin', mm-hmm.
Oh yeah, he makes funny faces when the artists comes around to do with picture for the royal painting. That or a tiny little nat flew on his nose because the artist told him not to move.
Quibble? You've read my story ? or That's what you got so far that's posted here? I put incerpts from my story here. So I can get people to come to the Library to read my stuff. Little bits and pieces of it seem to be out of charcter but the whole story explains it.

Genie magically zapped into some music from his DJ turn table. The partygoers was amused by the contraption that played out music. They came out to dance on the floor. Rajan asked permission if it was okay to dance with Jasmine. Aladdin allowed it. Rajan took her hand and danced with her. He was quite a good dancer. He twirled her around and swung her. Jasmine followed his every move. Rajan dipped her, Jasmine smiled as she was put back up. Rajan squirmed closer to Jasmine.
Rajan looked at Aladdin. Aladdin was steaming in jealousy. " Jasmine. I think your husband must be mad because there's steam coming out of his ears. Boy! Is his face is red."
Aladdin went up to Jasmine, " May I cut in Rajan?" Rajan gave Jasmine back to Aladdin. " Aren't you cozying up a little too close to Rajan?"
Jasmine was shocked to see a jealous side in Aladdin, " We were just dancing. My love. Nothing more."
" He's been by your side all night and didn't talk to anybody else but you. I think that he's trying to break us apart." Aladdin said it in such suspicion.
" What? Aladdin! What is wrong with you? Why are you being this way? Prince Rajan was nice to you and this is how your treat your guests ?" Jasmine snapped at him.

I just thought because it was night, and then probably because he needed to go out into the sun a little more. He did look like he hadn't seen sunlight in ages.
But yet, Saluk goes ramsacking and looking for the Oracle in the Sun with Cassim
