OK, I did a lot of research on Eisner and the whole DisneyWar and man did that feud get UGLY! Things would have gone much more smoothly and quickly if disney fans and disney haters alike hadn't made such a hype about it and made matters worse. Otherwise, the company could have handled the matter and moved on.
But if you think about it, the pervasiveness of the media (be it TV, internet, etc) makes news spread quickly and reach large numbers of people. It's not just in this case, it's in just about every case that gains national attention. And when you're talking about one of the biggest companies in the country, you're going to get national attention. It's unavoidable. Especially when the issue heavily concerns Wall Street! Stock prices were a big concern throughout this debate, so it's not just "Disney fans" or "Disney haters" that raised a ruckus, it's also people who had a stake in the company's financial performance. And speaking as a former theme parks Cast Member, I can tell you that Eisner was not looked upon kindly in his visits. He was incredibly distant to his Cast Members, to the point of completely closing himself off to contact with them when he came to visit! Roy Disney, on the other hand, happily came down into the CM break rooms and visited with front-line CMs. How else do you make people mad? You go on Larry King and complain about how overworked/underpaid you are, while your theme park CMs are overpaid and underworked. True story.
But nothing ever comes easy to Disney.
Of course not - they're a large company, which automatically will make them a target.
Despite their being rich and powerful, I can't help but sympathize with companies like Disney and Nickelodeon who have mobs of delusional haters at their doorway on a regular basis. (sometimes for a reason, sometimes for nothing at all)
True, but once again, that's inevitable with any large company like that, particularly media.
Thing is, though, Genie is
always
the same shade in the first movie, no matter what the ambient lighting is like. Well, except in broad daylight; then he appears
slightly
lighter. But not much.

I think it depends on the studio; some are more on-model than others. And in that old article on the Family Channel Canada website they made a big deal about how they could change the coloring depending on the lighting and time of day so maybe that's why Genie's shade of blue keeps changing?

In the cartoon series, the animators gave Genie this big, huge ugly jaw. Also, they made his nose too small, got the shape of his eyes wrong, colored him too pale, and forgot that he's supposed to be bioluminescent.
lol
The paint co. had discontinued that genie shade of blue so the animators had to conjure up some of their own.

If you take the 'h' off at the end and leave it how Disney sometimes spells it, which is Raja, then yes he is a girl then
I thought the feminine form of Rajah was Rani?

But it would be really cool if they built Jasmine's Castle in another country and had an Arabian themed park like they have an Asian themed disneypark in Hong Kong
They have one! It's in Tokyo DisneySeas in Japan, though. It's called the Arabian coast and it's absolutely GORGEOUS. I want the entire park as my backyard
It could happen. Admission prices to your Aladdin museum.

I wonder if they have Ariel's castle somewhere? It's beautiful on the outside, but in the series the inside is crap--where was the interior decorator?
I wonder the same thing about SGA Atlantis. The briefing room is UGLY! Somebody tell those guys that red and turquoise do NOT go together. Ick.
But back on topic...
Why did the cartoon animators give poor Genie that steamshovel jaw? He never had it in the original movie nor in KoT. What was up with that?
Steamshovel jaw? What's that? Is it a gag?

Ariel's Castle is in StorybookLand a Fantasyland in Disneyland Ca. It's real cute, they did it in gold and put it behind a waterfall to make it look like it's underwater and they also did Prince Eric's Castle too.
