In others, "the Stepmother's true nature" is revealed. I guess Disney couldn't have a loving father be alive and know this stuff was going on, but trust me, it does happen. <br />And, you're right. Where WOULD she go? Sometimes you've got to pick your battles. And, at the end, she left with the prince. She didn't say, "Well who will take care of my family?" Did anyone else notice that? She loved him for who he was. I only wish they'd done a scene with them getting to know each other. Maybe they talked alittle. But fairy tales have been adapted so many times, I think everybody can choose his or her favourite and be happy with it. <br />For whatever reason, I like the part in the original where the stepmother cuts up the step sisters' feet. <br /><img src="images/smiles/icon_lol.gif" alt="Laughing" border="0" /> And then I think of Into the Woods. "No blood at all inside the shoe. This is the proper bride for you." <br />I don't think I own a version of Cinderella where the Stepsisters get their eyes pecked out. But then again, I've gotten some new fairy tale books since the last time I checked.
