I used to wear dresses with sleeves like that when I was younger, also. Not exactly the same, but the sleeves were a little puffy, though. Submarines I like, but regular ships let you see way too much. Although I really wish I did like topside boats more, because the general concept of sailing is downright awesome. I suppose if I had gills it would help with the phobia, but then I would want to spend all my time underwater and sailing wouldn't be so cool anymore.
