Third St., Los Angeles, CA 90048 http://www.wgfoundation.org/librarycatalog/browse/browseFilmGenre.ashx?id=2 Must. Go. Do. Research. In. California
But I have to ask, what are the two worktapes you have like?! That must have been an amazing find/purchase!
One is the movie mostly as we know it today but with a few minor changes here and there (it says 'WRONG' across Genie's chest instead of the heart, for example), and then one is back when Aladdin was younger. The movie was basically a different take of the one we have now. Like instead of "Goodnight, my handsome prince"/"sleep well, princess"/the kiss", you get this: Jasmine: I'm so glad you're not dead :) Aladdin: Me too :) ....... who said I was dead?! D: Jasmine: Jafar D: Be very careful around him. He can't be trusted :O Aladdin: Don't worry I can handle him :x Jasmine: Yes, I believe you can :D *the kiss* Jasmine: Goodnight, my handsome prince Aladdin: Sleep well, princess It's just weird . Some of the changes I wish they kept, but I can see why they changed a lot of it.
I have the "fourth draft" from 1991 that is listed above, and a script from 1990 that matches AG's work tape pretty closely (IIRC this is the version that the deleted scenes on the DVD are from). But as far as Howard's original treatment, I haven't seen it or heard of anyone else who has it; all I know about it comes from The Music Behind the Magic and interviews. That and Linda Woolverton's script are the ones I really want to see.

...Oh Dear God, they're on floppy disks?! I don't even know if we have a computer that can read those anymore in the house. I couldn't read the scripts if I wanted to!

I would've loved to hear Scott say "Who said I was dead??" In his Aladdin voice
But you're right, that's not as romantic as the final script.
XD I would have loved to hear that too. Then again Scott could say anything in his Aladdin voice and I'd be happy
. That's why I watched Shredder, just to hear him talk, and I don't even like horror movies XD.
That's really funny but I'm glad they kept it out though. The way it is now is so romantic <3.

Nah, it's more like there's a giant PROPERTY OF WALT DISNEY COMPANY sign in it and I don't want them knocking on my door if I upload the whole thing or something. I've worked for them, they know where I live

Not impossible. We all have an equal chance of getting a peek if we get our professor to write a letter saying it's for a thesis

It's
hilarious
the way Scott says it. I might have to sneak some clips on the internet for you guys. Then I can be a proper Aladdin fan breaking the law
And yeah, it's referring to the beheading. It's mostly the same plot, but there's a few added/deleted scenes, and a few changed lines here and there
