Ah, my best one was one knee on the wheel, two hands trying to open the Frappuccino, speedometer needle... way up there.
Welcome to Southern California!

You guys all drive like you are in a NASCAR race, what's the problem?
That's just the problem... with LA traffic, we
can't
drive like that!

But the reason I was like that, was I had many friends who didn't insist that their parents take them, and they never got theirs / got theirs a long time after their birthday.
And that would be my situation now
Sorry AG, but like I said earlier, in some ways, driving is overrated.

I remember it well - I even had a countdown going in my agenda for school for my entire freshman year of high school, and I insisted that my parents take me on my birthday to get my learner's permit (and that I miss biology class in the process
).
I should have done that. That way I wouldn't be license-less now. For all you young folk out there, hound your parents to get your permit. Don't turn 16 without it!
I was a little obsessive - they knew if they wanted peace in the house, that I needed to get the license THAT day. But the reason I was like that, was I had many friends who didn't insist that their parents take them, and they never got theirs / got theirs a long time after their birthday.

I'm sorry.
But in some ways, driving is overated - when you can drive - your parents can send you on errands and such, which at first seems real cool (well, at least, I thought it was) because I could drive and go places on my own. But after awhile, it gets old.
