Yup, I've watched this movie 5 times since Tuesday and just today bought the new version of the Lilo and Stitch's Island Favourites CD, mainly to have "Always." Though, I was delighted that "Rubbernecking," "I Need Your Love Tonight" (minus Stitch singing along, but hey), "A Little Less Conversation," Tia Carrere singing "Aloha Oe," and "Pineapple Princess" (I have always liked Annette Funicello) were all on here as well. Oh, and the SHAG version of "Hawaiian Roller Coaster" that plays as L&S go to hula class. The Jump 5 butchering of the same song is the first track, but I just don't play that one.
And dude, I need the first version of that CD...

I personally will throw up if I'm forced to watch this film...too MANY SEQUELS!
Trust me, don't judge the movie based on that alone. If you saw and disliked Stitch: The Movie, know that this is almost entirely different. Honestly, it's a hell of a lot more in character than S:TM even comes close to.

what's so sad that would make one cry hysterically?
I would hate to reveal it. But if you really, really want to know, you can always just PM me.

I was hoping you'd start this thread!!!
I enthusiastically second that recommendation, and the Kleenex remark. I have NEVER cried so hard at a movie. I LOVED this one. (Oh, and I saw the 2nd half 3 times in under 24 hours; cried, rather hard, every time.)
I don't want to say too much more so I'm not being a spoiler embodied, but...Oh goodness, see it!!!

Pleakley: Sorry, Nani, but I have a day of important earth research ahead of me.
Nani: You mean watching talk shows and reading gossip columns?
Pleakley: Takes a lot out of you.

OMFG SEE DIS MOVIE!!!!!!!!!
*Ahem*
I want to recommend this movie to everyone. It's fantastic. Very much in the vein of the original film. Lots of Elvis, butt-kicking Lilo, adorible Stitch, and some great Jumba/Pleakley gayness.
There's Stitch: The Movie and series mythology inconsistancies throughout, which Jess Winfield (co-producer on S:TM, the series, and Leroy and Stitch) explains here:
Quote:
When Lilo and Stitch The Series started production, we had a meeting with the L&S 2 producers, to make sure we weren't "stepping on" their story for Stitch the Movie. We weren't, and while they spent three years noodling around with their story, we made Stitch the Movie and about 50 episodes of the series. We were well into Leroy & Stitch when we (the series producers) were asked to look at an early version of L&S 2 to make sure there weren't any "inconsistencies" with the mythology we'd developed in the meantime. Well, there were quite a few. One was that they had created their own names for the hula girls. We told them what we had named them; we also pointed out the inconsistency regarding Mertle's dad. Apparently they didn't feel it was necessary to revise the L&S 2 to bring it into agreement with the series mythology.
But since I think I'm the only series fanatic here, it probably only affects me.
One last word of advice when you see this movie: bring some Kleenex.
