Oh man, Aishwarya Rai is FREAKING GORGEOUS. I saw her on a Yahoo buzzworthy thing, go curious, looked up some pictures and was blown away. She's one of the prettiest people I have seen in my life

yeah, i am indian and i have a hoeny to dark complexion and dark brown eyes. People wouldn't believe it, but there are parts of india where the women are fair with blue eyes.
yup, anyone seen bride and prejudice? Aishwarya Rai, she's in it, is one of the most beautiful women in the world, and she's indian, and she has fair skin and blue green eyes and delicate features.
some pics at google image search of Aishwaray Rai
http://images.google.com.au/images?hl=en&sa=N&resnum=0&q=aishwarya%20rai&spell=1&tab=wi
So in india, north, south, east or west, the features, skin colour etc varies.

Not to say Syera is wrong, because she has a very valid point it just isn't the case with Nadira. For exaple, if a woman had
some
or all indian origin, u cannot say she should look a certain way.
True, I mean, my mom and dad are of the same race, and they don't look like each other. Same with my uncle(my dad's brother)and my dad. They have the same parents, but they're like....just nothing alike almost. My dad is...prieto, you know, my grandma says that's what they called him when he was young, dark hair, dark eyes and all that. My uncle has lighter eyes, more green than brown, and he's much lighter. I mean, like even in the same race, culture, country, it varies. Or like, if I had two blues and I bred them, I might get a calico if both of them had a great great great great great great great grandmother who had a calico patterned coat. Or even just one of them. Those genes just pop out for no reason on this one.
I think that's what happened with Sissy.
She's blue, but like a Russian Blue blue, only she has yellow eyes, not green eyes. There must have been Russian Blues along the line in her family. Her half brother is black, and she has another one who's white and has one folded ear. Her mom looks more like her, only a little too smokey to be a blue. She's a smoke.

i think that if dazzeling diamond IS Indian, she may be familiar with the appearances of all sorts of Indian women...
don't see Nicole Kidman at all...the only truly delicate feature i see is the nose
she looks like a teacher I had who was from India

Gypsies are Indian in origin, but Nadira looks more like Nicole Kidman than an Indian woman. *Shrugs*

BTw, the above was an
example
that looks can vary slightly.
that's the reason I used india, instead of the middle east, just for an example.
plus, Nadira might have indian blood, because, the arabian nights (the time this and Aladdin etc, was set) was actually a set of tales from arabia, persia and india.

Aww thanks for the defense. Not to say Syera is wrong, because she has a very valid point it just isn't the case with Nadira. For exaple, if a woman had
some
or all indian origin, u cannot say she should look a certain way.
this is because the way people look and skin colour is actually
very
diverse in India, so she could go either way and then have any features, she could be fair or more dark skinned, if i was to do it in colour maybe it would appeal more.

oh well, tough, she has delicate features. Who said her origins were completely arabian? and I happen to have arabian friends who have delicate features but stll look arabian.
Also, look at Jasmine, she may have big eyes but her features are delicate.

That's a good point. You should do one like that in color. But like, bien arreglada, you know, with the make up and everything.

Which one? Queen Rania or the Indian actress I had posted links of? I think both of them.
The Indian actress you posted links of; she's pretty

Even Queen Rania doesn't look quite
that
delicate.

I can sort of see Syera's point about a bit of a 1960s look, but I think it's just because her hairstyle reminds me a little bit of Gwen Stacy from older Spider-Man comics.
Such a lovely drawing! I love how you gave her eyes a 'smoky, sultry' look to them. She reminds me a bit of the belly dancer who performed in Morocco at WDW during my internship. She has a different nose shape, but the eyes and facial shape remind me of her, definitely.
Good work! Have you thought of doing a color picture of this character?
Thanks for the praise. I have done a colour drawing, but it's a small version and it's not nearly as good, she is in her belly dancing clothes, coz in the story she actually is a belly dancer! and gypsy, of course.
with the hair, it actually got cut off in the scanning; the portrait is bigger but it cut off her belly dancing bra and the rest of her hair which was flowing in the wind to her right.
I purposely gave her the smoky eyes for that seductive and mysterious look cause if u read my story, u'd see how it really reflects her.
Here is the link to the smaller one of her.
http://s26.photobucket.com/albums/c113/Bellydancinbeauty/?action=view¤t=Nadira.jpg
but it's not as good.
