An out-of-universe explanation would be that the animators forgot to put Aladdin at the base of the stairs, or didn’t think about it at all. <br /> <br />When I was really, really little, I had thought that Genie had eaten Aladdin, then turned him into the mini-Genie that walked down the stairs.
