I believe so. Somewhere around there should be a button that says something about clips. It'll let you take a 30 second clip.

....you really shoulda told me about that much sooner so I didn't waste almost a day of my life decrypting and encoding movies for vids Laughing

I'll have a look.

There's a capture option but it just applies to screenshots.

Do you see an option to make clips in the upper right hand corner when you put a DVD in?

You have to get a de-crypting program to rip the files onto your computer. I use Gordian Knot, which you can find online.

The basic process is decrypt the main movie files, put them in a avi converter (which also comes in the Gordian Knot set) and save the clip as a avi file.

OR, if you have WinDVD7 or 9 I forget on your computer, you can just take clips from that without having to go through all the decrypting. You can download a free trial online, too.

I want to make some music videos. I got the Windows Movie Maker on my PC as well as the music and movies I want to use. The big question is "how do you de-crypt the movies when you burn them?"
