There is this Finnish reviewer who saw all kinds of hidden messages in Aladdin. For example, he said that Iago was a wife-like character for Jafar and represented the loss of control which is what he (Jafar) fears.

Remember the scene in which Aladdin goes to see Jasmine at her balcony? There's the bit in which the camera enters her rooms through curtains. That was seen as the symbol of a man penetraring a woman. Laughing

While Iago was Jafar's wife, Rajah was the symbol of Jasmine's sexuality and Abu told about Aladdin's narcissism. Abu is not present in the end of the movie when Al and Jas are finally together, so apparently that was a sign of Aladdin growing up.
The Freudian interpretation of Aladdin. Too bad he didn't review KoT as well, he would have had a field day with that. Laughing

It annoys me greatly that the one Disney rumor that actually IS true (naked woman pic in Rescuers) is the one that nobody ever talks about!!! Everybody wants to talk about the ones that actually aren't true. No matter how many times its proved false, its much more fun to pretend that some perverted message is really there. Mad

It happens. Something truly awesome comes along, so everybody starts trying to discredit it. Sadly, 'tis the Law of the Jungle in action.

It does get annoying, especially when people find out I like Aladdin. They either say one of two things "Oh, that's cool! That was my favorite Disney movie when I was little! *insert long childhood story here*" or "HAHA, did you know Aladdin says 'take off your clothes'?!?!?!" I sigh and have to tell him he doesn't, but then they give me the list of other Disney issues they've heard and I have to tell them 99% of those are not true either.

You just gotta ignore it and continue on.

I know there have been several rants throughout various conversations on this board, but it still annoys me to no end when people point out perverted things in Disney movies that weren't even there in the first place, but imagined by idiots who have nothing better to do than turn a line or scene into something perverted.

This time, I was browsing someone's myspace photos and comments, and someone brought up the preacher's aledged erection. Now, it was discussed on here how that was his knee, was it not?

Anyway, I'm sick of people stating that the tower on the first box art on The Little Mermaid was deliberately made to look like an erection, or that Aladdin encourages teenagers to take off their clothes. They obviously don't even watch Disney movies very much, or only allow their brains to see what they heard from other perverts; those other perverts being the kind who'll turn anything, no matter how clean, into an inuendo.

I think I'm going to post a blog defending Disney in this way. I know that snopes.com has a Disney section that will help me and that I can cite.

Anyway, I just had to rant, because I know a lot of people here can relate.
