The little Platinum Edition sign is at the top on the TLM case, so it's still in the collection. It might be called 2-disc instead of platinum so people won't think they are paying more money for something that is "platinum".

Maybe they finally figured out that Platinum is, in fact, a metal, and really has nothing to do with the bonus features they put on the second disk. Or that the same number of people will still buy the disk no matter what they label it. Or just to see how many people actually figure out that it's the exact same thing as the "platinum" editions of other movies.

i just found out that the little mermaid dvd that is due to come out enxt october is a 2 disc special edition but not called platinuim edition like the aladdin and lion king latest dvds,anyone known why is that??does that mean the platinuim might not come out in the coming years??
