The only downside is there is a character limit, so you have to figure out what it is and split the fanfic up into several pieces. First time I put a fanfic on there, I was in a long car trip and just getting into the story, when it cut off and I had to wait days to be able to finish it. Laughing

Hunh; I never thought of putting a fan fic on there. Surprised I'll have to try that next time there's going to be a major storm while I'm at work. Neutral

I thought Janette was the only real person who uses the word 'yoink'!

I saw one of the things you can plug your iPod into for $50 at . . . Bed, Bath, and Beyond, I think, about 2 weeks ago. I couldn't justify spending the money on it right now, but it seemed nice. I've considered getting just a regular pair of speakers and plugging them into the headphone place though.

That would work, too. Of course, then,it runs on the battery. The other one doesn't, and charges it, too.

My mom got me my iPod, and I love it. Mine only has 4 GB (as opposed to 6) but it took me several months to fill it. (Partly because I'm always changing out songs.) I guess I don't really have a preference, except I'd like to get one of those things where you plug the iPod into it and it plays through a set of speakers. I'd like that better than the tuner I have, because my tuner needs batteries.

When do you usually find yourself bored stiff, out of curiosity?

I agree that ipods are very helpful like games and carrying assingments. If you are one of those people who just want music and the other things are a bonus for you. If you want things other then music then you would want an ipod.

I just have an MP3 player, but it works fine. Why buy something more expensive when I have something that works fine already.

I have an iPod mini (6 gb), and my sisters have mp3 players (1 gb, Sandisk). Their mp3 players have a fm radio tuner and are decent for the price. I don't have a fm tuner, but I have games on mine. I also love the feature where you can put an .rtf file on the iPod and view it - that's very nice for carrying around school notes to study (or fanfic Wink ). I love the amount of space on my iPod too - I love using it like a hard drive / memory stick. My only complaint with my iPod would be the battery, but I feel like I've learned how to make that work better. So all in all, I love my iPod.
