Yeah, I think it's dumb. My grandparents came to America on a ship from Lebanon. They bought me the VHS and watched it with me practically every time I went over their house. It has never occurred to anyone in that very Arabic family to be offended by it.

Maybe because they are Christian Arabs and not Muslims? Idk. It's dumb IMO.

Rolling Eyes I don't care what they say. I still love Aladdin. Razz Some do take the movie too seriously that way.

Oh, I've seen a bunch of people say that same thing, or keep their kids away from it because they're terrorists and don't want to show them Arabs/Islamic images Rolling Eyes

Unfortunately, I have seen at least one person on a movie board a few years ago care that the characters are Muslim. He tried to make it seem like the movie wasn't a huge success and everyone else was just trying to make it seem popular. However, that guy in the parody video is a pretty good singer Laughing Do you think he tried out for Seattle and didn't make the cut and now wants payback? Laughing

I laughed when he said in this in the article:

"Everyone loves Aladdin. I mean, it's Aladdin. What type of monsters would want to boycott that?"

It features magic and Arabs - that pissed off about two groups of people alone. You have no idea, sir Laughing

Three parts is a bit excessive Laughing You just KNOW people out there will actually agree with him without realizing it's satire. And a lot of people won't bother reading the whole article, either. I hope this doesn't get featured on yahoo, because the posters there are not so bright...even though I have an account Laughing The chants were funny though. "We don't want a whole new world! We want things to stay the same!" Laughing

You know, I thought the first one was interesting (after I realized it was a joke because holy crap I was pissed when that was passed along to me Laughing), but three parts? Confused
