I'm almost done on my final and last long big chapter on my previous story. I started brainstorming. Tons of ideas running through my head for a next fanfic. I was wondering if I run it by you guys to see. It's a go or a no go. I ran across some threads. There are some that might like my idea. I was thinking of doing a Aladdin/Bahz Luhrmann's Romeo + Juliet crossover. Yeah, Shakespeare stuff is pretty hard to translate but I'll do my homework. I'll do the best I can to translate to an understanding. Since I have that special DVD feature where there are two scripts from Will's version and Bahz's version. Of course, I will give the credit to them. Mines will be somewhat of an adaptation. (uh.. I think) There are things that I'm unsure of like the "Midwife's fairy" that gives the feeling of being in love. In the movie, it was a form of a pill and Romeo takes it. That pill is aka ecstascy. Whether if I subsitute it for a potion. It will still be classified as taking a drug. Of course, we all know it's going to end in tragedy. This will be the first for me. Romeo and Juliet is a Shakespeare classic. But there are some things that I might leave in there because Shakespeare's writing is so beautiful to translate in today's English speaking words. I'll try my best for those who don't understand it. But what we don't know will flourish us as a better writer and see things in a different perspective. I think that this will be a great benefit for those who don't understand Shakespeare and for those who didn't see the
Bahz'z R+J. Maybe inspire to read more about it or to see the movie.
Plus IRAC did a pic for it. Mine as well do the story for it.

THAT

Or

Have Aladdin chase Jasmine all over the world.

About the Wicker Park thing... all I can say is...

NO!

I never saw that movie, but I heard enough about it to know that it's the type of movie that absolutely leaves me infuriated. I mean, the only thing that happens is that a bunch of characters keep trying at something and failing for as long as the story progresses, which, in my opinion gets old VERY quickly. (I also heard that in Wicker Park, they could've solved their problems right away by using that handy-dandy device known as a "cellphone.")

As for Romeo and Juliet... er, I don't really like that idea, either. *Shrugs* I'm not much of a person for tragedy, as it is.

(I'm a fat lot of help, ain't I? Razz )

It's a great movie! Even though it's in pieces it comes together in the end. You're going to cry. I don't know if you should judge something on what it's really about. If you haven't seen the movie. See for it yourself. The moral of that movie is that If you're really meant to be together with someone then you'll be together. Despite all obstacles and misunderstanding that goes in your way. Lies will always find a way out. The truth will prevail.

In that movie the guy lost the woman he loves and he goes and finds her. They were apart by another girl instigating their relationship and that girl personal agendas for her selfish reasons.

I'm not going to make my story like that. It's just the romantic idea of finding a loved one and searching for them.

As for the R+J, I just want to help people understand the play alot more and I have the movie at home. Some of the characters remind me of some of the Aladdin characters. that or it's typical for every movie to have the same character personality.

Oh I forgot. From what you have percieved it to be is absolutely WRONG!
I thought it was some kind of thriller until I gave it a chance. It was completely the opposite on what I expect it to be.

B-b-but I kinda have a crush on Mozenrath.

A little crush, but a crush all the same.

Personally, I think it'd be rather funny to see a story about a girl who keeps trying to win Mozenrath's affections while he continually brushes her off/ignores her all the time... and it stays that way, either until he kills her/mamluks her/she gets board and leaves. It'd be a hilarious answer to all those fangirls, heheh.

I was going to to put Mozy as Tybalt for my R+J story into my adaptation.

It's fits him, " Look at my sword and look upon thy death.-- Peace? I hate the word. "

Girls fight over mozy. In my thread... Still I didn't help me on what should I do for my next fanfic.

Is it one of those ornamental sabres or an actual-will-slice-your-limb-off-if-you-screw-around-with-it-and-capable-of-mortally-wounding-people sabres?

They actually sell those light sabres at the Disney Parks. Umm not those plastic ones that you fling out or the ones that can cut your arm off. It's a replica from the Star War movies. It's in the Star Tours store. You have to ask the Cast member for one. It cost a grip.

Yeah, I can see him doing John Leguizamo's Tybalt, right down to pulling his guns out at a little kid and saying "Bang, Bang".

It wouldn't hurt to do an Aladdinized version of "R+J", but then you have to keep in mind of how to do it, whether it can be pulled off and in keeping cast of Aladdin in character.

I'm thinking of like how Suzo no Miko did her version of "PotC" or how I proposed to do "MacBeth" in the Plot Bunny Thread, have the Aladdin characters act it out in the context of them doing play, including the backstage action.
