I was on such a sugar high when I saw that movie Monday (got it DVD). I'm very impressed with Johnny Depp's Wonka, though sometimes I'm in the mood for Gene Wilder's candy man.

Yeah... even if he did seem a little Michael Jacksonish, he was still very entertaining. The references to The Fly always crack me up, too.

I saw it for the first time Christmas Eve. I was coming down with the flu and my stomach was rebelling. That was a very memorable Christmas Eve; I spent nearly the entire night throwing up and having strange semi-dreams inspired by that movie and the Mr. Fantastic action figure my sister gave me.

I wanted to see it again, but NOT until I was over the flu.

I'm fond of "I'm sorry, dear, but Mr. Wonka is being unreasonable" myself. XD

Hey, does anybody else find Wonka's dislike of gum rather... ironic? I noticed that during his 21 Jumpstreet days, Johnny Depp was almost constantly chewing gum. Gross. I wonder what Wonka would think if Tom Hanson stopped by chomping away... heh.
