None of the given options. I think it would have to be someone unknown, preferably with Middle Eastern blood in him. Call me nitpicky, but I don't think it's a good idea to have a western person playing an Arabian character -- even if Aladdin was made to resemble Tom Cruise.
ETA: How about Jonathan Ahdout? If he let his hair grow a bit longer, I could see him as Aladdin.
ETA2: Shahd Barmada is a Syrian singer. She could be Jasmine. If she can act, that is. _________________ "Now nothing will stand in the way of DOING THE DISHES!" |

Thank you, VampireNaomi, for making some plausible suggestions. Mr. Ahdout and Ms. Barmada do look the parts.
Oh, for the day when fangirls realize that yes, there ARE actors out there who are not Orlando Bloom, Johnny Depp, and Brad Pitt. *Longing sigh* _________________

Hey! You forgot John Stamos!
Okay here's my pic, If we can find a younger lookalike for one of them then I would be happy.
I know that I found this in Ali and Azul's mailing fanlist and they were talking about him being Ali in a non animated movie. But to me he would make a good Aladdin as well. That or JohnStamos.
The sultan would be Jim Broaddent.
When I saw him in the Mouin Rouge, add a little Sultan' hat and white beard. You got yourself a sultan.
Jasmine is so hard to find. But I find Mila Kunis from that 70's show
would be close to her.

I don't really like the concept of a live-action Aladdin movie. They did the movie in animation based on their desire to do what they can't do in live action. _________________

Jonathan Ahdout still has my vote. He's an Actual Arabian; Stamos is not. _________________

I'm actually curious to see a live action one because I want to see how they are going to pull of those things they can't do in live-action |

I don't know about Jonathan Ahdout. There's something that is not quite right ..seeing him playing Al. I know NOW that Stamos isn't. But if he was younger then I say yes. |

Umm what that supposed to mean? Does it matter whether a person is Arabian or not ? There's alot of actors that plays roles of other races that in reality that they are not really.

Jafar is more difficult because his features are more cartoony. However, my pick would probably be Ghassan Massoud. It's not the best picture of him, but he looks pretty good in it. Here is another one. |
