*nod* Especially since one of the criticisms of the animated version is that Al and Jas look too "white" (which they're not; have you seen Al's nose? Laughing ). And casting real Arabs or people of Arab descent would probably decrease the chance of anyone calling the movie racist or anti-Islamic.

Yeah, but then they'd go on about how it stereotypes them ESPECIALLY if they have accents. There's just no winning Laughing

Yeah, but then you'd have a whole cast of people in the public eye saying, "Um, no, we're Arabs and we're not insulted. We weren't asked to use over-the-top accents; this is just how we talk." Laughing

I have a "Jasmine" = Kristin Kreuk (with Katherine McPhee as a singing voice should she make it big after "Idol" finishes")

And "Aladdin" = Kaysar Ridha (Should he try acting - Put Kalan Porter as a singing voice)

Kaysar Ridha's not bad looking, but I think he's far too old (and old-looking) to play Aladdin. Also, I don't think he has the right facetype.

I don't like the idea of just anyone playing aladdin, an arabian should play al. because I am indian and I would be offended if they got a white person to play an indian girl, its not about the looks entirely it's also about the culture and ethnicity and all that sorta stuff, if tom cruise were to play aladdin can u imagine how ruined the movie would be?

but really, i don't like the idea of aladdin the live action movie, the animation is what made the movie what it is

as for an actor who could play him, ali mukkadam might be ok, he's a bit fairer, but still good.

he's got arab background, hence the name.

He definitely has the right look to him. Smile

Being as how Tom Cruise is... well, far too old, I don't think we'd have to worry about him anytime soon. Very Happy

Very Happy I like him too! He's so cute on that show, but that's not what this forum is about! lol, yeah, I can imagine him as Aladdin, of course, I still don't think that anyone could truly match the animated characters!

He would be the perfect Aladdin, why didn't I think of him. Young and dark, and as far as I've watched RFR, I'd say his playing skills are good enough.

His character on Radio Free Roscoe was sooooo adorable. He was funny and had a crush on his long time best girl friend (a plot and a character I hate by the way Laughing. Lily was the reason I stopped watching that show and left the fandom) and was always in trouble and just all around cute. No wonder I had a crush on the guy Laughing
