|
|
I am a new member and I come from Asia.
I read a book-"Jasmine the matchmaker" online and like it very much. The story is about Jasmine and rajah.
The pictures are so beautiful!
I tried to order it but I could not find it.
Does anyone know where I can buy this book?
Do any Disney princess storybooks include the story?
Thank you very much for your assistance. |

Hmm, do you have the link that you read online, or maybe a picture from it? I don't recognize the book title, but I might be able to find it from the picture. |

Oh, wow, that's a new one
It says it's by Lara Bergen at the end. She does a lot of neat stories for the princesses, so there's more than likely a series of other princess stories like this somewhere in a set. The problem, though, is that Disney Princess books tend to show up over and over again under different sets, or be renamed a few times when the story is the same. I know I have a book called "Star Bright", but then in another series it's called "Jasmine and the Star of Persia". I'm thinking it's just a matter of it not being out yet, but there's a small possibility it has another title, too.
I can't find anything like a release date or more information on my end, but since you're in a different country, you might wanna try a google search, amazon, ebay, and any other place that sells books. My best guess is that it's going to be released in a set of other princess books. They might do it by itself, but I haven't seen a Jasmine book by itself since "One True Love" in 2004.
If I find anything, I'll let you know because now I'm over here searching for it for my own collection of Aladdin books |

So after a little more snooping around, I realized that I have in fact read the Ariel and Snow White stories in this series, but they're under different names. For example, the story I read for Snow White was called "Snow White and the Magic of Friendship" on the website, but in the book Amazon released (http://www.amazon.com/Ariels-Dolphin-Adventure-Whites-Pictureback/dp/073642654X/ref=pd_bxgy_b_img_c), it's called "Snow White's New Friend". It's coupled with an Ariel story called "Ariel's Dolphin Adventure" that looks to have the same title on other sites as well.
Further snooping shows that the next book that'll be released is a Belle/Cinderella combination (http://www.amazon.com/Cinderella-Belle-Castle-Deluxe-Pictureback/dp/0736426949/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1274182716&sr=8-1) that will come out in August 2010.
Even further snooping detects that the next book set to be released after that one is a Aurora/Tiana combination (http://www.amazon.com/Aurora-Helpful-Dragon-Friend-Pictureback/dp/0736427570/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1274182991&sr=1-1) in January 2011.
So:
1. Uhhhh, how they're gonna release Jasmine's story is beyond me because that leaves everyone paired up except her...unless they plan on making a story for Mulan or Pocahontas (or if they made one for her, Rapunzel).
2. It'll probably be a while until we see it in stores seeing as how there's a few month gaps inbetween the Ariel/Snow White, Belle/Cinderella, Aurora/Tiana books. We're looking at it being released around this same time NEXT year at this rate . I could be wrong, though, let's hope.
3. To make matters worse, it might not even be called "Jasmine the Matchmaker" when it comes out, so not knowing the actual title will make it harder to find. I don't know what else they'd call it, though, so let's just hope that's how it stays.
4. It looks to be available to purchase in Indonesia (http://www.rumahbuku.net/shop/detail/disney-princessjasmine-the-matchmaker.html), but that doesn't help if you can't read the language to navigate through the webpage, mean you can even buy it if you don't have the right currency, or even read it if they translated the story from the original English
I'll keep searching for stuff, but it's not looking good right now |

Hey, I don't know if you're still out there but I found the book! It's under a generic title series "A Magical Story: Jasmine" (really creative, right? )! I've checked both the US and UK amazon stores and they have a few copies! |
