You know, why does Hollywood always feel the necessity to moonlight Dwayne Johnson as if he is the modern day Arnold Schwarzenegger? And now they are replacing Will Smith with him in the live action Aladdin sequel. I just can't even. |

Oh shoot if it's true, I wonder if it's related to the infamous slap! Can't believe that was 5 months ago.
My husband is disappointed. He has been saying since before 2019 that he wanted Eric Andre to play Genie. He figures he's the closest thing to an animated unpredictable improv comedian that we have right now _________________

Yeah... I kinda expected Will to be replaced after the whole slap thingie during the Oscars. Just too much bad publicity currently.
Not sure how I feel about Dwayne though as Genie. It's funny though history seem to repeat itself, although much different circumstances. _________________ You know your sanity is long gone when your favourites are a boy genius, a wacky genie, a mad man with a box and a deathberry |

Yeah, it's like, will people get over the slap already? It's not like he does this all the time. He got out of line a little bit, so what? Most celebrities do sometimes no matter how good or bad of people they are. I mean I'm not commending him for doing it, because he could have handled it better, but it's like, you know, get over it already. And it especially makes me mad from all the annoying memes that have spawned from it. |

I agree people should move on it already, but I do understand why people were so split on it at the time when it happened and an argue can be made for both those that were fine with Will's action and for those who didn't find it acceptable.
Just rather not go far into it now. _________________ You know your sanity is long gone when your favourites are a boy genius, a wacky genie, a mad man with a box and a deathberry |

Him being replaced by Dwayne is just a rumor that popped up when people were expecting his career to tank after the slap and that he'd be replaced on every upcoming project (including ones not even in development). That's literally not going to happen so we have nothing to worry about
(and if it does by some weird chance, Disney is gonna have to take a long hard look at who it has employed and why they still have them employed if Will is cause for banishment cause, uh, there's a number of actors that shouldn't be on their payroll who have done and said WAY worse) |
