"They said that sequels should only be made if there is a really great story that demands it, and should be the domain of those who created the original film."
Wow, there is hope, it seems. _________________

So, if we wanted an Aladdin sequel, Ron and John would have to do it! Yay!
...but since we A.) Have more than just them as important writers to our fandom (cause I consider the series writers important too since they know all the characterization inbetween) and B.) have Ron and John no longer there, I doubt we'd get any more. Yay? |

C) Glenn and Andreas are still there so there might be a little pitsy hope.
How knows maybe they're rehired in the future, an a freelance basis perhaps. |

This definitely gives me hope! The thought of Lasseter in charge of both Animation and Imagineering tickles me pink! And I love his comments on sequels - that is basically what Walt used to argue! If a sequel is relaly worth doing, it's worth doing to the best Feature Animation standards. THAT is what Disney's whole image has been based on historically. _________________ I don't need intelligent drugs, because I don't know what they are. No. He's got Apple Computer. BTW, it was George Lucas who founded Pixar and sold it to Steve Jobs in 1986. This info can be found on Disc 4 of the Star Wars trilogy DVD set. _________________ "You know I just realized we're short a doctor and a med student"

Yes, but the point is that because of this deal Jobs has a seat on the Disney board now. _________________ "If only I could believe you. Perhaps I can! After all... you do bear the name of a flower." -- Arbutus |
