I would pay to be spared from it. If the rest of their 'movie' was as uninspired and generic as that song, I get the feeling it was a real turkey.

I may have figured it out...
On that site they say they got their info from this site:

And it says...
This tarrrrrrriffic pirate song was written by Richard Marcus and Johnny Caruso
on spec
for a never-produced sequel to Disney's Aladdin, and has been sittin' in their treasure chest ever since.
"On spec" means, they wrote it on their own and then tried to sell it to Disney. So it's professional fanfiction, basically.
That's kind of cool, I didn't know anyone had tried to do that.

It would've worked if team Aladdin had set sail for open water. Captain Aladdin and his crew of land... insert some pirate-like word. Or if the series production developed a pirate episode with song inserted.
IGN didn't do their homework properly.
