Oooh, an Iago fan. We'll get along splendidly. I admit I like Jafar better, but Iago is definitely my favorite Disney sidekick and one of my favorite characters overall. I mean, he's a snarky parrot! What's not to love?

Yes, I'm among those who can honestly say I saw the original Aladdin when it first came to theaters; that's how old I am. *shakes cane*).
Oh, there's a lot of that around here. I'm 25, and I know I'm not the oldest one.

Thanks, both of you! I'm glad someone else agrees it's fitting...I wasn't really sure, I just found it in my playlist and started thinking "Yknow, this might just work."
Many of the lyrics just seemed to fit, both Iago and his attitudes towards other characters. And omg. I love Weird Al songs XD If you ever make that one lemme know where I can watch it, 'cause I'd love to!^^
Ironically I think it's Iago/RoJ that really got my Aladdin fandom started too, way back when (wow I feel old

This is a little funny to admit, but as a kid I used to put on "musical plays" with a few of my friends. Among these were The Lion King and Aladdin/Return of Jafar. A particular song I always enjoyed acting out was "Forget about Love" *snark* My friend always played Jasmine...
I
on the other hand, was always Iago. I had so much fun doing that. XD I even had myself a home made costume with fake feathers, and went all out with perfecting my voice to match Gilbert Gottfried's. Yeah, I was a strange kid. ;p
Thanks again for the comments, I plan on sticking around don't worry.

Post subject: Re: Why Hello There!
Hey, always nice to meet another Iago fan!
Strangely enough, the last time I made a vid it was a toss-up whether I was going to make the one I did or the idea I had for a video for the Weird Al medley Polka Power; "Push" is part of that medley, and I had planned to make that part about Iago and Jafar. You wouldn't think of it as an Iago song on the face of it, but I guess there must really be something there if we're both picking up on it.

As the mv's summary says I always find this type of thing intriguing, and it's nice to see a disney villain (sidekick) get some "shades of grey". I think thats what I found so appealing about RoJ in the first place...that and lets face it, I just love Iago.
I could have written that myself; Iago and RoJ are the reason I got into this fandom.
Anyway, nice to meet you and I hope you decide to stick around!

Post subject: Why Hello There!
I wasn't sure where the best place was for an introduction post, but since I also come with a little fan music video that I made (two for one package deal, ain't it great? Hurry while supplies last!! XD) I figured this forum would work okay. If it's not I apologize and please feel free to move it to the appropriate forum. So, uhm where was I? My name's Autumn (or Akiko or Eggy to my friends). Obviously I'm an Aladdin fan (why else am I here? :3), and a fan of numerous other things.
At the moment my obsession for the Aladdin movies and tv show has returned pretty much full force, so I'm swimming in the fun that is my addictive nature. I've lurked around this forum for a few days and figured that I may as well get my lazy self to at least say hello and see if I can get a little involved. Obsessions are so much more fun with people 'ta share 'em with. ;3
The music video I have may be a little unusual, from what I've seen on youtube most Aladdin mvs center on Aladdin/Jasmine (just fine, trust me I love 'em too ^_~). Where, I must say though, are the Iago mvs? Has anyone ever even made an Iago mv? XD I wonder. Well, I have!
I love the character; after thinking on a song that might somewhat fit I think I've actually managed this. Sorta'. See what you all think, though. ^_^
"Push"
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D6NM7urNDBA
It includes scenes from both the original Aladdin movie and The Return of Jafar; the main focus is on Iago's transformation from a villain to a "good guy". As the mv's summary says I always find this type of thing intriguing, and it's nice to see a disney villain (sidekick) get some "shades of grey". I think thats what I found so appealing about RoJ in the first place...that and lets face it, I just love Iago.
I also think it's a little neat seeing the change in animation quality on the two films (of course the original has smoother animation, aren't almost all movies like this?)
So, to sum this post up (least I typed a novel, which I wind up doing far too often ;p): hello to you all, enjoy the mv; I'll see if I can poke in to get involved more often.
