That's true. That's why I like the manga better . Wait, I keep forgetting if PGSM is the manga, or the live action show. I always get confused between those two.lolBut anyway, I like the manga better cause the Shitennou come back, sort of. Sigh They should have come back, and paired up with the senshi.
I know! I love swords. Even though Tuxedo Mask used a cane instead, and Antillano uses a sword.
Then why mention Tuxedo Kamen at all?
Actually, he does use a sword - in PGSM. The Shitennou also have swords, although they rarely use them for actual swordfighting. Mostly they use them like sharper and pointier magic wands. Dweebs.
There you have it. Swords + children's tv show = dweeby uses of swords. It's better just to leave the swords out of it.

Anyone besides me upset that Aladdin never kept the sword that he used to fight snake Jafar in the first movie in the series? It would've been cool to have seen him use it as his signature weapon in the series during his adventures.
The sword was conjured up by Jafar's magic. Like everything else Jafar left lying around that night, it probably disappeared after he was transformed into a genie.

Most 'evil' he fights uses magic in one way or another. A sword fighter stands little chance.

Well, I always thought a sword kinda was his "weapon", or at least that's what Disney pushes. He's always shown using a scimitar on non-princessy stock art, and just about any time an action figure comes out he comes with one. Maybe he kept that particular sword as a souvenir?

There are a couple eps where he uses one; I'm thinking of "Garden of Evil" and "Strike Up the Sand" right off the top of my head.
I like those old swords myself (I used to have one as part of my site logo
) but I can understand why they didn't have more swordfighting in the series. It might have made it harder for them to keep the rating they wanted if there was too much "violence".
