But I do think he did care for her before. They had ridiculous chemistry during the hovel scene..but not only that, but they sort of found a common ground ( they both were trapped ) and shared that connection. Back when they were running from the guards after the incident in the hovel, he told Jasmine to run and then let the guards catch him. I don't really think he could <span style="font-style: italic">afford</span> ( for lack of a better word ) to fall in love because he was always on the run from the guards. I do think he had some flings but nothing really big.
