Yeah, there's only like...two sets of couples, though, not including Aladdin and Jasmine

Correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't every guest there except Daru part of a couple?

I never thought the sultan was "presenting" them to Jasmine. I always felt that they kept showing up and Sultan was just being polite and letting them stay.

Sorta kinda. I mean, he did learn that he needs to be himself no matter what, but it's a little different when you're in a situation where that's actually being tested. He's got enough problems dealing with trying to convince the royals he's not "some dude", but he IS "some dude", so it can be really easy to slip in and out of your own beliefs when you feel you're being judged for it. If those were just random people, I don't think he'd care as much, but these were people
Jasmine
and
the Sultan
knew, and eventually he would have to know. He's got a lot of people to impress on several different levels (or at least he probably feels that way), and the fruit juggling trick won't always work with everyone

Post subject: My Fair Aladdin!
Just finished watching this episode about an hour ago
! Even though I loved this episode didn't Aladdin ALREADY learn the moral/lesson of this episode in the movie?
I think also the episode "Do The Rat Thing" was another early episode that had some elements that were already covered & resolved in the movie (i.e.: the Sultan still presenting Jasmine with princes to marry even though he chose Aladdin at the end of the first movie & he himself had changed the law, etc.).
