Yeah, those kind of claw weapons show up in games a lot; I've had them on assassins in Diablo 2 and my rogue in World of Warcraft.
Strangely enough, when I started googling around to find out what Sa'luk means I found out there's an Arabian Nights style D&D spinoff game called Al-Qadim, where one of the rogue-like characters is actually called a sa'luk. Coincidence? |

Oy. I had my martial artists and ninjas equipped with the li'l buggers at some point in Dragon Warrior 3 and several Final Fantasy games.
I could wax poetic about how awesome these guys were... well, next to my virtually-unstoppable red mage. |

I don't know how many of you are also Ninja Turtles fans, but I fouond something interesting. You know Saluk's clawlike weapon, it's actually Japanese, and the same one Slash and the Shredder wear! I also saw that Hugh Jackman wore them to do Wolverine's claws on the X Men movies! I always thought it was something they made up for Saluk. Never thought it would cross into the TMNT fandom.lol |
