.....el oh el. Oh, Shiera-three-years-ago. You thought your life was funny then? Haaaaa
They later renamed this show, by the way, to Aladdin's Royal Guard Recruitment. Jasmine is no where near this show, but I can't remember why they did that to begin with |

hahaha, that first post of mine is funny as heck in hindsight.
Still miss this show, though, and the P&P parties. |

Cute show, and that really was a hot Aladdin XD. Poor Jafar, even though he deserved it |

Nobody screwed up. Jafar is immortal. |

The same way Jafar is still alive at this point--someone screwed up |

Then how did he get them to think they were monkeys? |

He could have hypnotized Hakim, Karim and Gus into not believing the invisible swords would work! Then they wouldn't! But of course we wouldn't want to have Jafar win, would we? |

Yeah, there's also the element that we have swords to fight with. There's a bunch of us and one of him. And if that doesn't work...we just bum rush the guy and I don't think he'd like a bunch of little kids punching him to the ground |

I was thinking, maybe he's back down to his vizier level of magic right now, not greatest wizard level. Then he really would be intimidated by a bunch of swords and Al's throwing pun related magic around. |

Oh, I wasn't saying Jafar was all that hard to defeat, I was just saying that generally you have to trick or distract him in some way in the process. Merely waving your magic box around so that you humiliate him will just make him more pissed off at you, it won't make him run away. |

Hm... their Aladdin isn't too bad, even if he does call to mind some strange cocktail between the actual Aladdin, the pirate from Ray Stevens's pirate song, and Nog the Ferengi... |
Ummmmmmmmmm, is that a good thing? |
I dunno. Imagining Aladdin singing about wanting to sing and dance with his silver buckle slippers and his tight shiny pants is a pretty funny thought, though.

Besides, I think Jafar's defeat in the show is pretty fun; Jafar puns him in the film, Aladdin puns him here. |
Hey, one good pun deserves another. |

Yeah, Jafar went down pretty easy, but the show was for the benefit of the kiddies in the audience... not those of us with deep, meaningful understandings of Jafar's inner cogs and wheels. |
Seriously, Jafar isn't really *that* hard to defeat. I mean, he was easily tricked by Aladdin at the end of the original film. Pattern repeats itself in "Hercules and the Arabian Night" and, while it doesn't in ROJ, Jafar proves himself to be really, really bad at planning out attacks and following through. That's Iago's job.

Hey, at least he's pretty good with that badass sword. |
