That's Hakim, my favorite guard! He actually acts quite Vulcan-like, too. Hmm... |

Well, innat interesting...
There's Hakim the guard AND there's a Crazy Hakim who sells Discounter Fertilizer. That's more Hakims than I'd rather keep track of.
I can't help but wonder what they were thinking when they deciced to give him the pointy ears, though. It looks really odd! Vulcans do live in a deserty area and all... hmm... maybe "first contact" actually took place a LOT earlier than we thought it did. _________________

Actually there's three Hakims. The other is the ambassador from Ganastan. _________________

Not to be confused with Crazy Sahib who sells maps, wears a ten gallon hat, would stand on a bed of nails to make a deal and gives you a free candided banana with every purchase |

A free candid banana?! Is this guy related to Ali Chica or something?
Silly animators... they should've had an Arabic baby name book on hand or something. _________________

Although he definitely does not have certain other Vulcan characteristics, like superhuman strength:
Although it would make a strange kind of sense in my own fic-verse. Vulcan!Mutamassiks

I always thought his name was Akim, but that might just be his accent.

Maybe that was Abis Mal's line of reasoning with his "Sahib the Sand Merchant" thing? |

That's true, he does. He's my favorite guard, too. I like him in KOT. It wasn't exactly easy living with him before. _________________ "I too am a member of your species, Captain, or I was. It's so funny seeing him switch between Fazal and Hakim on the DVD |

Definitely. I always wondered if he did them one at a time or switched while he was actually in the recording booth, but apparently he does them all together. Does he also do Abu and any minor characters all in one sitting? No wonder the animators get confused about which guard is speaking.
(And he gave Fazal a nickname! In my ficverse, everyone will call him Big Guy from now on! ) |

Well, he did both of them pretty good. They both have funny voices, it's a shame they get to speak so little. _________________ "I too am a member of your species, Captain, or I was. What's scary is he actually LOOKS like the guards whenever he changes his voice
I'd imagine he'd do them all in one sitting considering they don't say much other than yell and "STOP!" |

"What do you mean by that?"
"Shut up."
