Okay, so you know how for ages I've been going around pointing out the references to Back to the Future (my other favorite movie) in Aladdin? Like how Al was originally modelled on Michael J. Fox, and how in both movies there's a scene where a muscle-bound bad guy and his three cronies chase the hero and end up covered in manure.
I'm watching BttF on AMC again right now, and I just realized another similarity:
In Aladdin: Al and Jas are about to kiss when the four named guards burst in on them. They grab Aladdin, Jasmine tries to stop them, and Rasoul says, "Well lookie what we have here, men? A street mouse!"
In BttF: Marty and Lorraine just kissed, Biff and his three friends burst in on them and grab Marty, Lorraine tries to stop them, and Biff says, "Well lookie what we have here?" And then he tries to...
Well...
Let's just say I'm now very worried about what might have happened to Jasmine if she hadn't chosen that exact moment to reveal her true identity. And this is the Rasoul appologist saying this.
I feel kind of sick now. _________________ "If only I could believe you. Perhaps I can! After all... you do bear the name of a flower." -- Arbutus |

You know, it's really scary how much those two movies cross. I love finding stuff like that |

Interesting intersection. But I wouldn't worry about it. Rasoul can be jerk at times, but I don't think he'd overstep his power, and I think he'd be repulsed by the idea of what Biff did and would never consider doing it himself. |

I have to agree that Rasoul may not have gone the same route. In the case of Lorraine, Biff was trying to establish his dominance over her. Rasoul was much more preoccupied with Aladdin, the street-rat he'd been trying to apprehend for some time now. Jasmine just happened to be there.
In a nutshell:
Biff had something to prove with Lorraine.
Rasoul had nothing to prove with Jasmine. _________________
