Well for a good start, there were many actual Arabic words used through the 3 movies and the TV series, I will try to make a topic about it in the near future, I will also include the the Arabic meanings of the charectures' names. Who can guess what Jafar means?! _________________ Come on down, stop on by

It means 'stream,' 'rivulet,' etc. In other words, a small body of water. Very small. _________________

If the Egyptian dialect is so different from classical Arabic I'm surprised they didn't make more than one translation, since they did that with other languages (two French, two Portuguese, at least three Spanish). |
Its so different from Classical Arabic that some students of Arabic and linguists find Egyptian Arabic Dialect sufficiently different as to be an independent language!
