Just rewatched this episode a few minutes ago, and am I right that this is the first episode where Iago and Abu work together as a team? Also, I can definitely see why they don't involve Carpet in any of their later schemes. _________________ "If only I could believe you. Perhaps I can! I"m just reading the script and... she's trying to cheat on Aladdin with no reason? what? looks like a silly episode anyway . _________________

She's trying to use Uncouthma to make Aladdin jealous. She's tired of Aladdin taking advantage of her and wants to teach him a lesson... poor Uncouthma just gets caught in the middle of their fight. _________________

She's mad at Aladdin so she is making him jealous... She doesn't actually intend on cheating - just making him jealous to "teach him a lesson"
But yeah.
Character flaws in my opinion. You can explain motives and all, but that doesn't make it out of character. _________________

I try not to be quick to, whenever a character does something I don't like, declare that it's out of character. It's what, episode 7? Jasmine's barely 16, I did some pretty stupid things myself at that age. _________________ "If only I could believe you. Perhaps I can! After all... you do bear the name of a flower." -- Arbutus |

And it's not unheard of that she would play with men's emotions to get revenge on them-- we see it twice in the first film (Jafar and Ali). It's immature of her, but as Heather said, she's 16. It happens. _________________

Oh,I see but I think it's out of her character, sorta, and I remember reading somehwere that Jasmine is 18.
And she keeping Jafar busy, not really getting revenge on him,but she did tricked Aladdin a few times. _________________

Jasmine's age is never stated in the movies/series, but the producers have said that she was supposed to be 15 going on 16, but, for whatever reason, they deemed that "too young to be married" and it got cut out. I mean, Little Mermaid, much?
And, what is out of character about it? I'm not trying to bait you, I just don't understand where that's coming from. _________________

The soccer moms who were still pissed off from The Little Mermaid deemed that too young, so they back peddled and cut the age out . Nevermind that that's pretty common on that side of the world. Parents hold magical powers to influence movies. |

Oh, that's just stupid. I don't think this generation had an increase of teenage weddings because of The Little Mermaid. _________________

Try telling that to parents. They're pretty sure Disney is the cause for all their problems with their children |
