"I've got the power of the world, man!"-90% on that. It sounds like such a current thing to say, but I'm pretty sure that's what he's saying

"Beans? Walnuts? Uh! More dates?? Ahh! Rasoul!!" -100% Laughing

I guess it makes sense "I don't" would sound like "why don't". Thanks! Oh, by the way, anyone here speak French and have any clue what Genie thought Iago was saying?

This is what my friend said:

haha it says "revenons à nos moutons" which means in english "let us come back to our sheep"

does that make sense with what was going on in the story? i've listened to it a million times to make sure that's what it says, but it doesn't make sense to me.

Maybe Genie means something along the lines of "Lets go back to the sheep." like it'd be safer to try to get to sleep by counting sheep again. Haven't seen that ep in ages but I remember in the beginning Al was counting sheep but it didn't work. Confused

I told her she was probably right and that what Genie said probably had nothing to do with the plot at all but was just a joke. Smile

I was pretty sure it was nonsense, so I wasn't expecting it to mean anything. Laughing Thank you for asking!

Is it perhaps one of those things that makes sense to people who are French, but not to anyone else? Like an idiom? Cause after looking up "revenons à nos moutons", I find it also means "Let's get back to the subject" or "But getting back to the subject at hand". It might have nothing to do with sheep at all Laughing

Sorry, but I need to ask for help again...

This is in "The Book of Khartoum"

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2gaeSMwqZV0 (at about 1:40)

Genie: Bowling? Oh no, boring. Dancing? Ugh, dullsville. [unintelligible] Yuck!

It kind of sounds like "yachting", but I'm not 100% sure.

Sounds like either "yawning" or "yachting" to me, and I thought that before I read what you thought it sounded like.

Got another one I need help with...

"I Never Mechanism I Didn't Like"
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YikEgLhn39A - at about 2:56

Gregarius chops Genie up into pieces, and Genie says...

Quote:
Genie: Oh! [unintelligible] use one of those in the future!

This one's a little different...

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Oc4spgZd2HQ&feature=PlayList&p=CDF67A84821F7703&index=34

At 1:40, notice how we're missing the first half of what Aladdin says there? Looks like whoever recorded this off of Toon Disney missed a few seconds after the commercial, and unfortunately Web of Fear is one of the episodes I don't have on tape... Anyone have a tape and can see what we're missing?
