Absolutely.

Step 1: Go to http://www.google.com
Step 2: Type in a search string such as forum avatar or Aladdin avatar.
Step 3: Press Enter or click the 'Search' button.
Step 4: Follow any of the shiny links that look like they should lead somewhere helpful.

Yes! Jafar fans! I'm a very recent fan of his, but I'm a fan nonetheless (fangirl to be exact). I'll probably be drawing some art of him soon (I'm a pretty good artist. ^_^). I love his looks, voice, and attitude (since I love the villains). He's just so, what's the word? Ah yes... sexy! And if any of you role play, do you (or would you be able to) role play as Jafar? I've been looking for someone to role play as him, since I really want to be my character Taja. Just let me know if you want to role play. ^_^

I could roleplay Jafar, but common sense tells me not to do it anywhere near a Jafar fangirl. Razz

...Especially nowhere near one who thinks her character ought to be romantically paired with Jafar from the get-go.

Hey, I'm not one of those super crazy fangirls that doesn't have any common sense. I just like to have romance role plays and draw Jafar with my fan character (and occasionally gawk and/or squee at pictures of him). Is that so wrong? No, it's not, so end of story. *sigh* Nobody wants to role play with me these days. They're all stubborn, and they hate me (or just never have time for computers anymore). I hope you're not suggesting that YOU hate me too, or anyone else hates me. I prefer to be liked by others. Sad

No, dearie, I do not hate you. I have simply had much too much experience with roleplayers who think something is wrong if my character does not hook up with theirs. For actual romantic interaction to happen, the chemistry has to be there first. It's very difficult for a young roleplayer to pull off a character that anyone I play would be even remotely attracted to.

So yes, I could play Jafar, but he'd be too old for your character. Razz

I don't care. My character is a princess, old enough to date Jafar. Probably in her 20's or 30's. Age doesn't matter to me in an animated relationship.

It's not the physical age of a character that's usually the problem. It's just that with most kids, their 'adult' characters are rarely any more 'adult' than the player. It's only a matter of time before their age shows through the character*, and this always wigs out my adult characters. Imagine hanging out with a guy and suddenly he started doing something that would be normal for someone five years his junior, but someone at his age wouldn't consider.

On the other hand, if I had a 14-year-old character and someone played a character close to his age, the teenisms wouldn't freak him out because they would be... well, normal to him. He might even start flirting of his own accord.

My characters take on lives of their own like that. Razz

*This may sound odd, but teenagers usually wear their ages on their sleeves. Faking anything older is virtually impossible.

If nobody wants to roleplay that, why don't you write a fanfic, Taja? Then you'd have power over the whole thing and you could decide everything that happens.

One, I absolutely suck at writing fanfics. Trust me, I've tried. I absolutely cannot get characters right. Two, I'm not as young as you think. I'm 17 and 3/4 to be exact. Almost 18. I've done so many romance role plays in the past, and I just get more advanced everytime I role play. I've been role playing since I was a kid, so it's a natural hobby for me. And I don't usually act the typical teenager. I do have my days when I like to act silly, but I can be very mature and serious. You should really think about giving me at least one chance to show you what kind of role player I am. I haven't had a seriously good role play in what seems like ages.

You're on.

Now, where're we gonna toss this party? I'm not sure but what we'd get kicked out of the Fan Works section here.

Party? You mean a role play? Instant messengers are always great. Fast and easy.
