Well for a good start, there were many actual Arabic words used through the 3 movies and the TV series, I will try to make a topic about it in the near future, I will also include the the Arabic meanings of the charectures' names. Who can guess what Jafar means?! Twisted Evil Evil or Very Mad

It means 'stream,' 'rivulet,' etc. In other words, a small body of water. Very small.

Its so different from Classical Arabic that some students of Arabic and linguists find Egyptian Arabic Dialect sufficiently different as to be an independent language!

Good for you! Although its a famous well known Arabic name, many Arabic speakers don't know thats what it actually means!
