I just thought I'd stop in and see if anyone remembered that today was the anniversary of Howard Ashman's death.

For those of you who don't know who he is, he wrote the lyrics of Friend Like Me, Prince Ali, and Arabian Nights for Aladdin and all the lyrics of Beauty and the Beast and The Little Mermaid, and he died in 1991 today.

Such an amazing man...

That might subsciously explain why I've been listening to music from the films he worked on so much today Laughing

On Fri I did remember him quite a bit. I really couldn't get some of his songs out of my head.

Yup, he really was quite an amazing man. It never ceases to amaze me just how much of my favorite movies is thanks to him. I wonder what the sequels would have been like if he'd have worked on them as well.
